The pandeiro, originally from East Africa, is made of wood, animal or
snake skin, and metal jingles. It is used in capoeira, samba, reggae, and many other forms of Brazilian music. The pandeiro
might look like "just a tambourine," but the complexity of the sound that an experienced player can get out of it is incredible!
